1. What BangMiles Is

BangMiles is a novelty mileage calculator operated as a personal side project. It is provided for entertainment purposes only. The calculations it produces are estimates based on population-average figures from published research. They are not measurements, not clinical data, and not suitable for any purpose that requires accuracy.

2. Acceptance of Terms

By using BangMiles, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please stop using the site. It's a calculator. There's really not much at stake here.

3. No Medical or Clinical Use

BangMiles is not a medical device, a health monitoring tool, or a clinical measurement instrument. Do not use BangMiles output for medical decisions, health assessments, or any purpose that requires accurate measurement of any kind. Do not present BangMiles results to healthcare professionals as evidence of anything.

4. The Leaderboard

The global leaderboard is a public feature. Entries are visible to all visitors. By submitting to the leaderboard, you agree that:

• Your submitted display name will be publicly visible
• Your submitted miles total will be publicly visible
• You will not submit display names that are defamatory, harassing, obscene, or that impersonate real individuals
• You will not attempt to manipulate the leaderboard with automated submissions

We reserve the right to remove any leaderboard entry at our discretion. To request removal of your own entry, email hello@bangmiles.com.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or attack BangMiles infrastructure
• Submit automated requests to our servers at a rate that constitutes abuse
• Use BangMiles in any way that violates applicable law
• Attempt to extract, scrape, or reproduce BangMiles content for commercial purposes without permission

6. Intellectual Property

The BangMiles name, logo, and codebase are the property of the operator. The underlying calculation formula is trivially obvious and we make no claim over it. The blog content is original writing and is copyright of the operator.

7. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability

BangMiles is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee accuracy, availability, or fitness for any purpose. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of BangMiles.

This is a novelty calculator. Please govern your expectations accordingly.

8. Third-Party Services

BangMiles uses Google AdSense for advertising and Google Fonts for typography. Your use of BangMiles is subject to Google's terms where their services are involved. We are not responsible for third-party service behaviour.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms at any time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will reflect changes. Continued use of BangMiles constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from use of BangMiles shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
